After a devastating accident involving a bus carrying students from Farmingdale High School, Anthony Laurino, owner of Phil’s Pizzeria in Syosset, faced unimaginable circumstances. Determined to provide support and healing to the affected families, Laurino teamed up with Alyssa Guidice from Dine-LI and Jim Serpico from Side Hustle Bread to launch an initiative called LI Pizza Strong.
The inspiration behind LI Pizza Strong comes from the belief that the community should come together in times of need. Anthony Laurino shared, “After the funerals and when the healing process begins, these families will face unexpected expenses. As a community, we must do our part to support them during these difficult times. Our pizza brotherhood on Long Island is a strong one.”
